Riding on the Doorstep of Box Hill
Bocketts Equestrian sits in the rolling countryside between Fetcham and Box Hill, giving riders direct access to some of the most scenic bridleways in Surrey. The centre caters to complete beginners as well as experienced riders, with a team of qualified instructors delivering structured lessons in a floodlit outdoor arena and on surrounding farmland tracks.
Children’s sessions are a particular strength, with own-a-pony days and holiday camps running throughout the school breaks. The yard keeps a well-schooled herd of ponies and cobs suited to nervous novices and confident intermediates alike, and individual tuition is available for those working towards BHS stage exams.
Facilities & What to Expect
The centre includes a large outdoor school with a sand-and-fibre surface, a mounting block area for less mobile riders, and hard standing for horse boxes. Hacking routes head south towards the chalk grassland of Box Hill and Headley Heath, providing a welcome change from arena work. Free parking is available on site, and the nearby Bocketts Farm offers refreshments and family entertainment if you’re making a day of it.
