Contemporary Design Meets Natural Beauty
The Barn at Bury Court stands apart from most barn venues thanks to its striking contemporary architecture and its extraordinary gardens, designed by world-renowned Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf. The barn was purpose-built as an events space, with clean lines, natural materials and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the gardens and surrounding Hampshire and Surrey countryside.
Oudolf’s signature planting style — naturalistic drifts of grasses, perennials and structural plants — transforms the grounds throughout the seasons. Whether your wedding falls amid the exuberant summer borders or the tawny tones of autumn, the gardens provide a living, ever-changing backdrop that photographs beautifully.
Relaxed, Personal Celebrations
The Barn at Bury Court is licensed for civil ceremonies inside the barn or outdoors in the gardens. The main space seats up to 140 guests for a wedding breakfast, with large doors opening directly onto the terrace for a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The venue’s clean, minimal design makes it a blank canvas that suits every style, from relaxed bohemian celebrations to polished formal affairs.
Exclusive use of the venue and grounds is included, and the team provides a curated list of caterers and suppliers. The nearby village of Bentley and the town of Farnham offer plenty of accommodation options, from coaching inns to boutique hotels.
