Birds from Around the Globe

Birdworld near Farnham is one of the largest bird parks in the United Kingdom, home to over 150 species from every continent. The park occupies 26 acres of parkland and lakes, with walk-through aviaries allowing visitors to get remarkably close to the birds. Highlights include the Penguin Beach enclosure, a tropical house with free-flying hummingbirds, an Australian aviary with lorikeets, and an impressive birds-of-prey collection featuring owls, eagles and falcons.

Adjacent to the bird park is Jenny Wren Farm, a small farm attraction included in the admission price. Here children can meet goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other domestic animals. The Underwater World aquarium, also on site, houses tropical fish and terrapins. The park’s lakeside setting is attractive in its own right, with mature gardens and picnic areas beside the water.
