Adventure in the Canopy
Go Ape at Alice Holt Forest offers a spectacular treetop adventure in one of Surrey’s finest woodland settings. The course takes participants high into the canopy on a series of rope bridges, platforms and zip lines, with routes designed for different ages and abilities. The main Tree Top Adventure is suitable for those aged 10 and over, while the Tree Top Junior course welcomes children as young as six. A separate Nets Adventure provides bouncy fun for younger children at a lower height.
Alice Holt Forest itself is managed by Forestry England and covers over 850 hectares of mixed woodland straddling the Surrey–Hampshire border. The forest has well-marked walking and cycling trails, a café, a play area and a visitor centre, so families can easily combine a Go Ape session with a wider day out in the woods.
Practical Information
The forest is located on the A325 south of Farnham, with free Forestry England car parking (charges apply via the RingGo app). Advance booking for Go Ape is essential as sessions sell out, particularly during school holidays. Participants must meet minimum height and weight requirements. Wear old clothes and closed-toe shoes. The adventure runs year-round but may close in very high winds.
