A Century of Growing
Secretts of Milford has been a fixture of the Surrey food landscape for well over a hundred years. Founded in 1908 by the Secrett family, the farm began as a market garden supplying vegetables to London’s Covent Garden. Today it remains family-owned and continues to grow a wide range of seasonal produce on the sandy, free-draining soils of the Milford countryside, from asparagus and sweetcorn to pumpkins and Christmas trees. The farm shop stocks the estate’s own harvest alongside carefully sourced goods from neighbouring producers, making it a genuine one-stop destination for anyone who values provenance.
More Than a Farm Shop
Over the decades Secretts has expanded well beyond its horticultural roots. The site now includes a well-stocked butchery counter specialising in free-range and locally reared meat, a popular café serving breakfasts and lunches made with ingredients from the farm, and an extensive garden centre. Pick-your-own is available in season – strawberries, raspberries and runner beans draw families from across the county every summer. Despite its growth, the operation retains its rural, unpretentious character, and a visit still feels like stepping onto a working farm rather than a polished retail park.
