From Silver Screen to Surrey's Best
The Black Swan sits in the hamlet of Martyr’s Green within Ockham parish. Its most famous moment came in 1981 when the interior was used as “The Slaughtered Lamb” in John Landis’s cult horror-comedy An American Werewolf in London. A false wall was built to make the pub appear smaller for the iconic scene. It also featured in Inspector Morse. In 2006, the pub underwent major refurbishment to become a gastropub.
Modern British Dining
The modern British menu is built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with standout Sunday roasts and an indulgent dessert selection. The expansive gardens are among the finest pub gardens in Surrey. A semi-private room seating 125 makes it popular for celebrations. Set in peaceful countryside yet close to the M25/A3.
