Pick-Your-Own Paradise

Garsons has been synonymous with pick-your-own in Surrey since the family first opened its fields to the public. Set on fertile land between Esher and Cobham, the farm grows over 30 varieties of fruit and vegetable across the seasons, from strawberries and gooseberries in early summer through to sweetcorn, pumpkins and squash in autumn. The PYO fields are well maintained and clearly signed, making it easy for families with young children to navigate, and the experience of filling a punnet with sun-warmed fruit straight from the plant remains one of the simple pleasures of a Surrey summer.

The Farm Shop & Garden Centre

Beyond the fields, Garsons operates one of the largest farm shops in the south-east. The spacious retail space is stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables – much of it from the farm itself – alongside a deli counter, bakery section, and an impressive range of local and British cheeses. A separate butchery offers free-range poultry, dry-aged beef and house-made sausages. The adjoining garden centre is equally well regarded, and the on-site kitchen serves hearty breakfasts and light lunches using seasonal produce. Garsons manages to balance scale with quality, and its popularity with locals shows no sign of waning.
